"I think there’s inspiration everywhere around us and seeing the beauty in simplicity is special. My happy place is always by the sea, so if I'm feeling stuck or stressed. I’ll watch the sun rise over the water and it helps clear my mind."

Madie Brunt (@my.sunrise.studio) is a Sydney-based texture artist who's all about creating with frosting-like texture. She uses a palette knife to make scalloped texture in gentle colour gradients on canvases of all shapes and sizes. 

Though she created from a young age and studied art in high school, the COVID lockdowns triggered Madie to get back into creating and explore her lifelong passion. She found her stride when she started using texture paste, embracing any learnings to really grow her own style.
